Remade 3 times before 2005, this movie goes on to prove once again the simplicity in Saratchandra's story that has appeal for all generations even after so many years. Vidhu Vinod Chopra has done a wonderful job in developing a memorable screen play. But more memorable are the songs and music in this movie! Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam all deserve a pat on the back for their performances.
I have to say this movie has such lovely music. A very interesting story line, a great depiction of love lost and found. I find that the best love stories are always found in plots such as "the friendship-turn-love".
Great!! Vidya Balan is phenomenal and so is Saif Ali Khan!
i loved this film! the acting was brill but i have to admit it was a it too predictable and the bit with the wall at the end was a bit naff. although i have to say saif Ali Kahn is rather buff!
I tried really hard to watch it but I just couldn't enjoy it. I ended up leaving it on but only turning around to watch some of it. I suppose I shouldn't have given up on it quite so easily.
The Plot synopsis on this isn't very good, it's not a typical love story. It's very interesting how misinterpretations can have such great ramifications.
One of the most beautiful hindi movies. Saif Ali Khan is better than ever and Vidya Balan just blows your mind !! Great story, extraordinary songs and perfect cinematography. I haven't read the book but i hope it is a correct adaptation.
